Tucked along the Muncy Creek in the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania, Zen Blue Studio offers a quiet and private environment to explore and refine Fine & Ceramic Art techniques.  Hours are by chance or appointment, so it's advisable to call, first.

"Zen" refers to a philosophy, and not a religious practice.  The state of Zen is one in which an individual can find focus and complete inner calm.  Most art students will agree that they find intense focus when they are practicing a new technique, refining their current level of skill, or pushing the edge of their creative envelope.  This holds true with any discipline, be it voice, musical instrument, playing chess, or any other activity that requires attention.  Achieving the state of Zen is not only calming, but extremely rewarding.

Lisa Reiser approaches her art, craft, and instruction with humor, dedication to individualism, and a gentle-but-insistent prodding of her students to take their work to the next level.  From instruction to commissions, her goal is to create work that is enjoyable to her, and extend that to her students, loyal customers, and commission clients.

Instruction is offered on a private, and semi-private basis.  Class scheduling is flexible to accomodate Students' needs.  Please, call for more information on instruction and "open studio" access.

Commissioned work is typically based upon the wishes of the client with a flair of originality and creative expression.  Uses of various clay bodies and glazing options and techniques allow for each piece to be one-of-a-kind.
